What is Ultrasound Cavitation
Cavitation is a biological phenomenon that consists of the formation of bubbles in between the cells which implode by the action of a low frequency ultrasound. This creates shock waves that selectively damage the membranes of the adipocytes (fat cells), spilling the liquid fat into the lymphatic system and finally to the liver to be metabolised. It is scientifically proven that after a cavitation session, excess liquid or
lymphatic toxins are drained from the body via the urinary system.
This can be noticed in the first session after just 10 minutes. There will also be a significant increase in diuresis (the production of urine by the kidneys in the hours following the session and this usually continues into the next day as the body metabolises the excess liquid and toxins. Due to this a slight acidity and change in the smell and colour of the urine can be observed right after the first session with the ultrasound cavitation especially in clients with a considerable percentage of body fat.
Ultrasound cavitation can be used to target and destroy fat cells on the arms, abdomen, buttocks and thighs. It has also been found to improve skin elasticity.
Ultrasound cavitation technology enables concentrated ultrasound energy to be directed at localised treatment areas disrupting the subcutaneous fat cells through thousands of microscopic implosions impacting the fat cell membranes.
The low frequency sound waves used in ultrasound cavitation effectively implodes from the pressure of the sound wave, spilling out their liquid fat (lipids). After the breakdown of adipose tissue (fat cell membrane), the liquid fat is released into the interstitial fluid between the cells, where it is enzymatically metabolized to glycerol and free fatty acids. Water soluble glycerol travels into the circulatory system and is used for new energy generation whereas the insoluble free fatty acids enter the liver where they are decomposed like any other simple fatty acid and excreted as waste in the usual way
No damage is caused to the surrounding organs or tissues and clients can see instant results from the treatment.
